LSUA and Bossier Parish Community College Sign Nursing Agreement

“When nursing students at BPCC graduate with an associate’s degree, they will be well-prepared to excel in LSUA’s bachelor degree program,” says BPCC Chancellor Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr. “This partnership will allow our students to seamlessly continue their educational journey to a four-year degree.”

Students must complete the associate degree at BPCC and meet LSUA’s admission requirement to apply. LSUA will accept all credits used to fulfill the associate degree and students must complete twenty-five percent of the bachelor degree requirements at LSUA in order for LSUA to confer the degree.

“We are pleased to offer partnerships such as this one between BPCC and LSUA because they are a win-win for all involved,” says LSUA Chancellor Dr. Guiyou Huang. “Students will have more options for earning a degree from two outstanding programs while both institutions expand their statewide reach.”

Students will be able to take advantage of the new partnership beginning in fall 2017.
